We have already recognised the false conflict between Darwinism and Creationism in the previous extensive Note on Evolution.   

This is essentially the same story of the evolution of God's Creation, directed by the Spirit within, in harmony with the Universal Spirit.

There is no real contradiction between the Christian and evolutionary versions of our origins. They are complementary, properly understood, the one ancient and strictly spiritual, the other rather modern and too strictly material; both falling far short of the true wonder.
