Horus the Child succeeded Ra as the supreme deity of the Sun and bears similar symbols plus the distinctive crowns of Upper and Lower Egypt, the ultimate Sun King.   Horus insists the innocence of childhood, of our hearts, is a greater power than the orb of the Sun.   As Christ also affirmed when he proclaimed : 'Unless ye be as little children, ye shall not enter the Kingdom of God.'

The seated figure behind Horus is Ra, with the Sun on his head, the ankh, the symbol of life, in his hand, and the Hawk’s head of solar majesty.

In front of Horus are his parents, Isis the Moon goddess, and her partner, the Resurrected Osiris, seated in majesty, the judge of the dead.
